Is the price on beaver dams up to 39.99 everwhere ?

At bass pro anyways the price is up ten bucks from last year and there is no noticable changes in the tipup. 30 bucks is a lot for a tipup let alone 40. I'm just trying to find out if bass pro is pulling something or if beaver dam raised the price.

They were $35 at the Gander Mountain in Madison, WI.  It could be $5 cheaper because Beaver Dam is about a thirty minute drive from Madison.

The price is coming up on a lot of products, the companys blame it on the price of gas....I think thats a poor excuse.

Beaver Dams could be $100 and I would still buy them.  They last for years.

I will probably get slammed here for this but at $40 for a beaver dam they would be fishing from the shelf in my book.
I have not seen the current prices but IMHO either a Jack Trap or Heritage Laker beats a Beaver Dam hands down.
If they were all on sale for the same exact price the Beavers would be my last choice.
Don't get me wrong, they are a nice tip up and I have and use five of them. I just find the other two to be much better. Easier to set up and take down, much easier to see on snowy/windy days and the Jacks and Hls hold more line for deep water fishing. They are all pretty good when it comes to avoiding wind flags but I have lost Beaver Dams on windy days because they got snowed under and burried and they are tough for snowmobilers to see even on clear days.

$40 bucks each. LMAO rolling on the floor.

To each his own.  I have never had a problem with beaver dam's.  They are silky smooth for years.  I have the same ones I got as christmas presents 15 years ago.  I have red ones that I got and the ATV drivers have never ran over a single one.

Here would be a great test.
Walk in to Gander and they are having a sale on tip ups, all are $20 each.

They have a truckload of each.

Jack Traps, Heritage Lakers, Beaver Dams, Polar Extreams, Slammers and a few others.

I would be willing to bet the Jack Traps and Heritage Lakers sell out first.

At $40 each the BDs will bite the dust quick!!!!! They are a good tip up but they don't command the top dollar in mine or alot of other's books.

I have been doing this hardwater fishing for 45 years and had or have them all and it just does not make any sense to me.
