Blue blazer- almost tshirt weather in the mid day sun. Fell asleep for short period basking in the sun. Loving this awesome mid winter weather lately..
Took nefew out fishing to get into some big fish..
After a few tuff fish battles where i heard "i cant do it" as the monsters fish peels out the drag and get off and miss opportunities one was biting away again and i chirped up something along the line of "rip his lips off" and a solid hook set and he was into another big fish.
and his first hardwater laker hit the ice:
Then the ipod speakers, high fives and twerking began in the middle of a remote lake with noone around for miles and miles..

I dont know if this ling would count in the derby or not- but it use to be around 12" range before a laker got a hold of it- heres the remains of what i pulled out of
the lakers mouth when i was trying to get my hook out, surprises me how all predators always seem to gobble up the fish head first :
Turned out to be a fun day. Big shout out to the loggers who are keeping the roads open in the area- makes access awesome this year- shorter sled rides mean more time fishing
Get the sun screen out cuz i think this wicked fishin weather is gonna be around for a few more days
