There is no such thing as a "Junk" or a "Trash" fish...... ??? :%$#!: :%$#!:
Every true Maine fisherman knows there are only three kinds of fish in this state: brook trout, bait fish and junk fish. That does not mean that junk fish can't be fun to catch and good to eat.

I do like catching chromers I'll give you guys a good place to look into and that is "the catt" or should say cattaraugus creek  on lake erie. Think you'll find it's worth the trip. Now brook trout are on my list to catch just because they are beautiful fish in full color. Those zombie salmon are nasty for sure but they do some good to the stream by dieing in it and returning to what they came from. One day I'll make a trip to your state to fish.

I have a blast just fishing for any fish. It doesn't matter what I catch. Caught my first Salmon last week and I must say, it was only 3lbs and fought like a 6lb bass. But I have just as much chasing flags and catching pickerel and bass. You can't tell me that it wouldn't be fun to catch an 8lbs pike?

I also try and leave some perch on the lake to feed the eagles myself. I also leave my bait for them too.

I feed most of the salmon I catch to my dogs.
