Fish were caught between 10'-16'. The bass made it worth the hike.looking foward to getting back there. Need to work on a better way to carry everything in though

Breakneck is one of my favorites and haven't been disappointed out there.  I learned the hard way about two years ago trying to carry buckets and backpacks all the way out there.  One piece of advice, buy an ice sled it's a great investment, plus it gives you a reason to buy more gear to fill it up.  ;)

The walk is what kills it for me. I may run up there with my spud, jigging rods, and flasher.

How long does it take to walk (on average)?

It's about a mile walk in from the road.   I usually walk to the corner of the pond and then just get on the ice.

Think I might take a walk out there tomorrow...I've hiked out there but never fished it...at least in the winter you wouldn't have to drag a boat out there to fish it well...

I may get out there tomorrow, have not decided if I want to do the hour drive.

I always find the walk in is much easier than the walk back at the end of the day.
