I was JUST checking out the otters at Dag's... They look like the perfect sled for hauling ice fishing tackle.

I have the otterII magnum. They are very rugged and can haul a ton of gear.I also have the lodge that attaches to it.It is without a doubt the best portable I've seen.10 times better than the clam(which I also have). If you have a snowmobile get the hitch and cover.Total package is not cheap but well worth the money!!

Maine Military in Brewer has 3 sizes of the Jet Sled, along with the covers and hitches. The Otter is due, but not in yet.

Transplant,
Thanks for the howdy! I work part-time for MMS and I'm not sure whether the mods will pull this post, but the Otters came in today. Not cheap, but SCHWEEEEEETT! I think I might have to have one. For those of y'all who tow them around with a sled or ATV, the hitch is really well built. If this post was a "No-no", delete and I'll understand.

You want to see some MONSTER sleds, go to Stones in Lewiston.  Last year he had several, one that must have been 8' x 5'.  I swear it was the largest sled I've ever seen.  (Wasn't cheap though!)  Talk about rugged.  Those Otters look good.

get a jet sled, whatever size you need...we are replacing my old one this year...it is thirteen years old, been through everything, and still works great (other then some bad corner holes from dragging it on blacktop) best sleds for the money...

hoppes, ive seen the sleds that you are talking about. the hitch attaches to the side of the sled so it can pivot going over rough terrain. the ones i saw were made in canada. the smallest one is like 4' by 8' and $350! very well made though but a little too big just for icefishing. the dealer says they were designed by eskimos to haull gear in the artic.
