I'm at my girlfriends in Abington  and I would have to go get all my **** at my place in Walpole I don't know why but I thought the comet was in Maynard in the park there till I looked on a map

In my opinion one of the best trout ponds around really got to put your time in to do well there i would recomend fishing it sometime

I know all about putting my time in I got few good trout ponds around here I've never fished them through the ice thou, my old man and I always do well if your ever out this way little pond , lout pond, long pond Plymouth are all good then the other side of the canal there's about 7 more. I'm going to stick close to home today I realy do appreciate you getting back to me I need a nice 10 lbs  bass  or  8-9 lb pickrel thank you thou and good luck  if I had a better running vehicle I'd already be on the way.. realy good luck and be safe

Hey, did you manage to get out there. I just saw this post now. I was there with a buddy this morning at around 7.45 ish. Didn't fish there as someone went through the ice in knee deep water... Luckily his boots saved him from getting wet...He showed us the place where he hit the bottom and so we got out of there. I thought that there was good ice there, but he said otherwis. Didn't wanna venture out further...

I did fish yesterday for about two hours the only way anybody is falling through there is if they fall in an old hole or drive a tank onto the ice there was about 12 to 14 everywhere i checked i fished for two hrs 5 flags one male bow and a small brookie.

Jaltif - you just said something that I have a question on. you referred to the trout as a male. soory for my ignorance, but can tou tell me how to tell the dif from a male and female rainbow trout?

Extremely dark color almost black and a kyped jaw (hooked jaw) and dropping sperm on the ice the males this time of year are typically really dark i dont know how to post pics im sure someone has a pic they could post

how was the snow on the ice, did the wind blow alot off or was a pain in the arse to walk through?

I hiked in quite a bit between 12 to 18 in of snow on the ice not fun walking layer of slush as well not fun at all but i love to fish im sure i will be doing that walk again this week at least ill be in good shape.

The wind was so bad i didnt even try it but i will break it out this week for sure they look awesome should be great for those short striking trout.
