push bar on jiffy sled
« on: Jan 11, 2014, 11:09 AM »
I've been kicking around the idea of a push bar on the back of my jiffy sled. Any ideas or reasons it won't be better than pulling?

That was the way he wanted it .  I guess it works for him ,never heard different. The push bar slides up off the bottom part, so he can use the just the runners.

In snow I would think you'd be pushing down rather than pulling up making it take more energy.

My sled sits on downhill skis.so I think I have enough surface area to keep the front end up. I could be wrong though.

That would work like a cutter. The bars are narrow enough there is hardly any snow to move.
