has anyone caught a crappie in dillenbeck this year? I would like to fish one of these tournaments but when I get the time to go fishing I like to go somewhere I will catch some fish.

Hard to have a derby at Carry Bay with no parking lot...
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

same here, everytime I've made the trip up to Dillenback, it has always ended with little to no fish caught...just sayin'

Maybe consider it for next year: why not try doing the tourney in St. Albans bay instead of Dillenback

The first derby there can be slow this time of the year but people will catch crappie and the other target species. Who here is entering? I will be donating my entry fee to the winners pool  ;D

I might, but haven't decided yet.  Heading up tomorrow to see if I can find any fish.  I've only fished that place twice, and I was tipup fishing for pike.

  • Ain't nothing better than fishing!!
i was out fishing in the area yesterday, took a swing up to dillenbeck they were setting up in the access and a hole lot of people fishing. talked with a few guys said they werent catching anything. my buddy and I took a walk out, fished for about a hour, caught one dink perch, wind was terrible, 2-3 inchs of water on top of the ice, 12-15 inchs of ice to drill thru. wasnt fun. tim
What?? fish are biting, I'm gone
