Conesus and Kids
« on: Jan 13, 2014, 01:23 PM »
I've heard, an read a lot about Conesus pertaining to the blue gills. I took  my son out this past weekend to Braddox for some pike an perch which didn't go too well, although he is extremely still interested. Along with a shanty and everything else that comes with a comfortable day of fishing in the cold, where is a good starting place at Conesus hoping my 6.5 year old will get into some blue gills and maybe see a northern or two hit the ice?

Straight out from vitale park at the north end. Go out 400 yds or so until you find 8-10' depths. Plenty of small bluegill to keep u busy with the occasional crappie. Set your tipups out with sucker chubs and maybe hook into a bass, pike, or tiger muskie. There was a large spot the geese were keeping open to the east.
