How does one access the lake from Fair Haven, never been there and a group of buds are starting to plan a trip.

Thanks I got stuck looking at what looks like a marina to the west of there. Now the question is do you have to pay for parking or need a permit or something?

There's also the raft which is a burger joint down the road you could fish. Pay to park there believe its 5$ dont quote me and place is usually dead unless first or last ice. Would be a journey from there to find fish. But keep it in mind the raft usually locks ip with ice first and has some great gilly fishing in the canals.

I've only seen it once and it blew my mind. You most likely wont see that there veyn often. But when you leave you will see a ton of guys on sleds, quads and whatever else they got with a motor lol. If your not seeing Many fish keep moving haven't been out there in 2 weeks or so but start tighter and work out to deeper water. Caught a ton of pike last trip out there in 7ft.

I like the guide aka guy who's been there.  Most action I had was further out maybe not that far out but half mile shorter.
If you see two Yahoo's in a shappell fx200 with gopros strapped to there noggins stop by ill give you some of my homemade spoons and jigs and shoot the sh*t.

I'll keep that in mind I'll be with a group of 8 or so probably lookin like we don't know a thing, well a couple don't one guy is from Georgia has never been and another that has only been on ice once, those two will be onto the bud lights more than the fish I think. I was thinking of using a chubby darter or buckshot rattle to call then in and a haili with a emerald to hook em.

Dont be surprised if the darter get plastered by some nice pike. Last trip out my beaded spoon was the ticket out there and orange seemed to be hot also but that was 2 weeks ago Alot can change. If I see a guy slipping and falling and busting his as$ ill assume he's the out of state guy and shoot ya a holler!

The wife and I will sometimes access a tad north in Bouvier bay, then traverse out to the haloed grounds. Gets you away from the crowd and lines and is easy on, easy off.

I have been going off Gino's in 10 fow and it has been hit or miss there it seems. I also went out with a few friends off of Mitchell's Bay (Canadian side) and south of Wapole Island and we did well over there.
