Waneta Lake, SULIVAN County

Has anybody ever fishing Waneta lake in sulivan county?  I never here it talked about even though theres always a few groups out there.  I know theres some pickeral and bass in there but does anybody know if theres any crappies in there?

I've fished Waneta from shore a few times during the open water season and have caught some nice largemouth bass. According to the DEC site, only yellow perch and pumpkinseed as far as panfish.

betz sport shop is no longer there, but there is a new bait store on 28 in arkville, pepacton bait and tackle

I've heard that there may have been some stocked in there a few years ago, haven't seen any though.

Also try checking with steuben sporting goods in savona ny they sell bait too.
