Bass on a VMC Rattle Spoon
« on: Jan 13, 2014, 12:25 PM »
This weekend, I was tip up fishing in 6-10ft of water.  I had sucker minnows on, looking for northern and bass.  No flags!  I decided to change it up a bit and started jigging/deadsticking an 1/8oz VMC Rattle Spoon (glow gold) with a full fat head, hooked through the mouth.  Caught some decent bass with it.

Just thought I'd share!  Sorry, didn't take any picks, but here's the lure:  http://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/vmc-rattle-spoon-glow-gold-fish/0000000095706
My gear:

Marcum LX-9
Otter XT Cabin
Frabill Bunker 310
10" Eskimo propane HC40

I don't know, usually a post has to be accompanied with at least one photo. I will leave it up to the higher forces to decide if we can believe it  ;D

Thanks for sharing your experience. I certainly can't see why a bass wouldn't nail a VMC, they are  great bait!

Congratulations

Ok, I lied!  I did take one pic when I got home.  It was a delicious bass!
