Frozen ice/snow on top of maybe 3" of black here and there... open spots way to the left of the ramp. Felt kind of sketchy.... not digging the frozen old snow to the clear black ice edges.

Anyone got an ice condition report from Saturday?  Just wondering if the cold Friday night helped thicken it up any?

I went saturday, and did the long walk to the back. ice was like the surface of mars, very rough and patchy, some black ice, some snow ice and some snow on top of ice.  thickness was between two and seven inches. especially thin where the snow was. at also broke open in a few areas making it tough to get back. had to zig zag home.   fishing was fairly slow- but I did manage four bass to 3.5 #'s, and four perch. no pike  no pickeral
