Les Cheneaux Islands
« on: Jan 04, 2014, 03:34 PM »
I'm looking to take my dad fishin up across the straits. He fished for a solid five winters in that area, until everything was netted (dad said). I was wondering if the bite is back? I don't need any specifics  for he knows where to go  just a yes or no would even work!

Yes! But you have to weed through a lot of 6" perch to get to the keepers. A little later in the year tends to be better.

I've never heard of too many being caught around there. Most people fish munuscong for walleye in the winter, a little ways north of Cedarville.
