That's pretty windy, 50km! Lol

I'm good with winds around 30km. Gust a little higher are ok. Sustained winds over 30km is challenging.

Just like most past times, don't usually get to pick when I'm going. So I've been known do fish in pretty questionable weather. Lol

Holy wind Batman!  I can confirm the gust were at least 50 Km/h.  I was at Loughborough with ECB.  The wind knocked me over in a clam Kodiak this morning at around 1030, which in turn knocked over the bait pail whereby I lost all the water.

Gave the live ones to ECB, packed up and headed in.  Too windy for me to focus on the fishing.

Cheers.

Yikes, knocked over your flip over hut?  I will go out in 20-25km wind and set up my pop up but anything more than that and I don't bother brining the hut, I would rather fish outside in the wind then deal with hubs popping in or my hut turning into a giant box kite during set up or tear down.

Had the clam base camp up today on Loughborough, had to have 3 side tie outs with three inner pegs to keep the thing grounded...but it seemed pretty damn stable as soon as she was tied down..

50km/h however is too much, haha

My max is icefishing out of a Clam Scout in 80 km wind - my video looks  and sounds  awesome !    It was serious out there.  We landed 4 whitefish out of 80 FOW that day.    Check it out

Just got in a while ago off Loughborough. Nearly lifted my Clam Guide right off the ice with me in it!!! Not even a sniff for the trouble either.
