some place to hit the ice
« on: Dec 08, 2005, 02:49 PM »
I would really like to get on the ice sunday. Down my way we were starting to get good ice but all this D--N snow were getting today ruined that. So if anybody knows a public lake that has good ice please let me know.
I would really like to stay in Indiana if possible. Jimmy has given me the itch bad. :o  Anybody up for a road trip.

We'll have to keep our eyes on the snow situation. I hope it doesnt degrade the ice this way. If so High Tide has mentioned the possibility of road trippin'. Maybe we can make a group event out of it.

High Tide, Kid got your ears on?
I'm gonna call Gene's at Indian to get an ice report. It's like Summit.....Freezes fast!
Grand Lake Might be a good option......Tons of channels that freeze up tight quick. Its got some really nice perch and phenomenal Crappie in it.
Never tell a fish where its supposed to be

Anybody find a good place yet, all this snow down here is killing me.  I'd really like to go Sunday.  We did some ice rescue training here this mourning but the ice was only about an 11/2" thick good for training s--ks for fishing.
