Causeway-Lake Helena-Walleye
« on: Dec 23, 2013, 09:12 PM »
Been awhile since I targeted walleye there, I know they're small but it is close
I can normally catch  trout, occasionally perch, and some ling
I use to go out as far as I could walk towards the canyon for walleye and fished all over until I got something
Is this still true or is by the pillars-parking lot decent for walleye
and is the Lake Helena side doing any good for any thing
Formerly youngoutdoorsmans but wouldn't you know, I got older

I'm not a walleye fisherman, but what I know of walleye fisherman around here is they hold their secrets tight.
Good Luck!

Sure seems that way
I tried from 2-7 a day ago near parking lot about 8 feet of water got couple trout on worms
had some tips ups pop with smelt and worms but never landed, felt small
only had couple other bites, saw only 2 walleye on Aqua-Vu right at dark

Fish from 6-10pm glow buckshot with maggots or worm or minnow head if you have some.. 8-10fow... Usually about 75 yards off shore from parking lot... Good luck..
