Great day on the ice!

Fished a farm pond by Lorimor Saturday. Caught 21 Crappie in less than 2 hours!

How do crappies do in farm ponds? I didn't think they recommended stocking them in ponds but know of a few that have them. Will they get stunted over time? Those look relatively to be a decent size for a farm pond.

This was a decent size pond and these were probably the biggest crappies I have ever caught out of a farm pond! And thats all I caught here, no bluegill, just a consitent crappie bite. I'm trying another pond tomorrow that is known for good crappie. I will let you know how I do.

We slammed the Crappies on a local pond Saturday. Owner asked that we put them back. Had a blast.

Thanks! Fished this pond again the other day when it was warm and only caught a couple but it was around 2:30pm and that was about when they shut off last time I was there. Thinking about going out in the evening and giving it a try.

What did you catch them on. I've tried a couple of ponds I know that r known for crappies and haven't had any luck.
