Sunday morning it was about 8 inches. Measured it with the biggest fish I caught that day, lol. No I did actually use a ruler but biggest fish was pretty accurate.

Looks like the ice is a bit thicker up there, going out N.Y.D. or Saturday or both????, will give Nampa a try. Would like to try CJ but boy is on call in Nampa so cannot venture out in case he has to go to work.

Went to Nampa dam west side today, 10 solid inches everywhere we drilled. Good fishing also! 2 of us got 22 keeper perch and a gill. Probably twice as many dinks. Fished from 8:30 - 3 but might of well of stopped at 1. Wonderful way to start out the year.

Capt,I think we "met" at the trucks this afternoon. I had my boy with me, silver Tacoma. After we left me kid said  ah dad, you picked the wrong spot, those guys caught way more fish than we did, I'm picking next time! If that wasn't you, then disregard ::)

We were at Lake Lowell yesterday with a friend and his son. Their first ever Ice fishing trip. They had a blast and now they are into the Hard Water scene. It is great to get new people into such a great sport. Also I had a friend from North Dakota who has not ice fished for over 30 years.  After fishing yesterday, all three said they were going out to buy thier ice gear. Yeah!
