The Sheridan store is not carrying them, or they were not last week. Whats the best  size to use. Kind of new to this ice fishing game.

.  You can't go wrong with the 1/8oz.for panniers and the 1/4 oz. for gamefish.

I've been using the new Predator a lot. Love the lure. Seems small but, all size of fish eat it.

One of the first times I tried these spoons out last year I was fishing the 1/4 ounce trying for walleyes and slayed big perch and caught a few pike here in MT.  I have had fish chase spoons before but nothing like this.  The perch would shoot straight up 10-15 feet of the bottom and completely engulf them to where the hook was in the throat.  I was so impressed by the action that day that I can't wait to hit the lake again.  I caught well over 100 perch that day by myself with many over 12 inches.  Hoping the wind isn't crazy this weekend so I can  hit it finally this year.  I tried minnow heads but did the best with the old standbye perch eye.

Took a limit of nice perch from Healy on the PK Predator, swapping between the gold plated, firetiger and pink. I'm planning on modifying some of the other PK's to a Predator look.

Cool! I used them there this past weekend as one of my baits also. Did very well on them until something rather large bit. All I felt was a little weight and set the hook. It was like I never budged the fish and broke the lure off. Three or four fish before I had to remove the hook from a perch using forceps and I accidentally clamped my line. Was going to re tie but figured it would be OK being I was fishing for perch. I knew better!

I haven't felt that kind of weight from a fish there for a while. Never will know what it was. Time for a camera to see the PK in action.

Cheers!

Hey Wy did you find some small willow blades to add to the heavier PK spoons? I don't have anything that small but think it will work great and be a lot fast getting down. Photo's would be great.  ;)
I also purchased some of the PK trollers with a single hook and a large colorado blade. My thinking is it would be great for lake trout but possibly too large for other stuff. Maybe switch out to a small blade to a smaller PK spoon.

Great bait though.

Haven't as of yet appleye. I'm going to dig around for some and try them out. Thought about hitting RMD in Gillette, and if nothing there place an order online. I'll let you know what I find... And share!

Sounds good. I found some I think will work on janns net craft dot com. Thought about using some real small colorado blades as well.  A little more thump and or flash I have another idea as well. I'll make one and send you a photo.

I agree with Appleye, the pink glo predator hammers trout with a waxie on it. Had a good catch at Palisades with it. I was jigging with them. I bought it with perch and Kokanee in mind but Ririe  hasn't capped well enough to try them over there yet. Looking forward to  trying the flutterfish on some lakers soon. Hoping to drop one in Blackfoot for rainbows or up at Henry .  I ordered mine direct, got them the same week.

Though about rigging a Dakota spinner on the top of one of my PK's for extra flash.
