Had a friend go through yesterday.   Wouldn't chance it.

I'd sure be interested in more details on that incident.

What are the ice conditions?  Poor ice in general?  Inconsistent thickness?  Melting?  Eroding from the backside due to current?

I'm not criticizing your friend at all.  Just trying to understand.  I've been ice fishing for 25 years and I've never gone through (knock on wood).  I have come close a few times, though.  I've been on "marginal" to "stupid" ice before.

Sounds scary.  I think I steer clear until we get some more cold weather.  Come on cold!!!!!!

Thanks for the report, I am planning on going to cottonwood on Saturday. Did you get more bites jiggin or did they prefer dead stickin?  I noticed last year the certain days they wanted it moving all the time an other days they wanted it just hanging.

Chief, did Kunafrmr join you today? I met ken and his wife up there last winter. I'm planning on being in Mt. Home some time early Thurs. evening I haven't decided if my son and I will try some goose hunting Friday morning or go for the perch. I would like to bring a goose home for Christmas dinner as well as a mess of perch fillets.  :)
