Caspian Lake Ice Conditions??

I know the ice condition reports are supposed to go on a separate page but I haven't seen anything posted on Caspian Lake yet this year.  Wondering if anyone has any updates on conditions at Caspian?! Trout season is far away but still a good time to start looking into it!! ::) :tipup:

Caspian will have great early season ice if weather remains cold.

Good to hear! Do you know how much snow is on the lake? Wasn't sure how much snow Greensboro got this past weekend.

The most fun I've had ice fishing in a couple years was pulling in my first trout on laker on Caspian. I hope to do that multiple times this year!

We got around 10-12" of snow in the area but don't know how the lake is

Yeah i'm going to check it out this weekend. Its light snow as of now and Caspian is always WIND central so i'm hoping most of it has blown off! If anyone drives by the lake soon please give an update on what the snow fall is like on the lake! ;D

When I went by the lake about 10 days ago it was wide open water.

Yep early at this point but almost guaranteed by the opener to have good ice.
