Sunday Morning Ice Report (Allegan, Kalamazoo, Barry Co.)

Did anyone get a chance to go out this morning.  If so how'd the ice look?  I was interested in going out on Pine Lake this afternoon.  Or possibly Gun Lake, depending on any feedback I get from others.  Safety comes first but I think the ice should be fine.  I was out on Gun Lake Friday for about 8 hours and there was about 6-8 inches when I got off the lake.

Havent been out yet, getting ready to go. I checked the ice here in manistee yesterday and buy noon the water on top of the ice was froze. i walked out a little on a smaller lake that I plan on fishing today. Seemed fine. Take a spud, check the ice and be safe. Good luck.

There was about 2 inches of water on the ice Friday, if that all froze solid I am sure it is fine.

i was out yesterday in allegan county and the ice was clear black ice and around 6 inches thick and it was makin ice.i spudded my way out cuz the day before there was some big open holes.

Heard of a couple lakes in Barry yesterday,Baker being one,that had no shore ice but guys were able to get on to good ice. Should be even better after today and tonight...she's cold out there!

Just curious why this old thread was started back up?  I read the first post about the 6 to 8 inches on Gun and thought **censored**?  then I read the date.  Nice to post the info about the ticket and tow, but it might be better communicated in a new thread.
