Calumet lake had a skim of ice on it
also Gratiot river rd water puddles ice 1'' thick

After yesterday's heat???  Interesting indeed.  Maybe ice time is closer than I think.

Calumet lake is about 500' higher than the big lake
usually if its raining in Houghton this time of year we are getting snow on the ridge

we've got one 40 acre and one 90 acre lake that have been froze over for two days now.  Not sure the ice will make it thru this warm spell we will have this weekend though.

Calumet lake completely froze over and holding even with the wind tonight at dusk

Everything except for a couple of the deeper, larger lakes were froze over in western Iron and eastern Gogebic counties today.  Even saw a pic of someone standing on the ice in about a foot of water.  Won't be long for some now.

here in skandia...near ki sawyer yesterday was 1 inch on engman lake..two good whacks with the spud to get thru...stay cold!!! :)
i just know they will bite if i stay another hour.

Lake Angeline in ishpeming had ice on half the lake yesterday, not much longer!!
