I just a installed a wood one in my new shack. I have heard nothing but good.  I will post when the season comes. Hoping it works like it says.

Im curious about these also, would the propane one have to have an external vent or pipe to operate say inside a pop-up?

I have a propane one been using it for about four years.  The first year 2 years I didn't vent it but last year did.  I decided it might be safer vented for the overnight trips that little heater throws some heat

looks good 5758ericm, im looking for something for overnite trips as well so a vent would probably be the best way to go. Just a bit tricky to do in a pop-up  :-\ looking to incorporate one of these into a piece of canvas that I could put over one of the doors opened on my 949i or our bigfoot xl6000

Before you vented it did it give off any smell from the propane?

Just the normal propane burning smell
