There was a thin layer of hard water on moms pond earlier this week. Exciting gone now after warming weather, but its coming. Gun season in the am either a bear or a buk is going down, lots of pics of both.
Good luck in the am hunters and ill c u on the ice soon

I too saw a thin layer on the edges extending maybe 20-30feet out on that small pond on Black Pond road closest to Hortonia Rd in Hubbardton. It's getting close! Good luck other hunters tomorrow! Hopefully it stays cloudy tonight to keep the almost full moon away and it's colder tomorrow than the forecast says!

I've been seeing ice on quite a few ponds lately. Not to mention bays on big bodies of water! Here is a small pond that has held ice pretty good all week.

I'll keep my guns, freedom, and money. You can keep "The Change"
