I got to the lake this morning and made my way to the launch area. I noticed a set of tire tracks leading to the waters edge and an additional 4ft. I also saw a collection of wood, branches and junk they used for traction to get back out. Yup, 7" of ice, lets go 4 wheeling

Why do you think they make a wide white tape for an electric fence instead of the one single strand they use to use. There is nothing that wakes you up faster than getting a load off a weed chopper fence. They would just hang on and wonder why they are getting shocked

I saw the same thing on a small lake here in Cheboygan County only it was shallow enough they did`nt need the sticks and stuff to get out. Ten inches of ice but spongy around the edges from the rain and high temps. Sure makes you wonder about some peoples thought processes. Kind of like an election....scratches head....uh, did that really just happen?

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the original poster and I agree. Why does so many people think like that? "I don't agree with what your doing therefore it should be illegal," that attitude makes me sick. How about you just mind your own business and let me live the way I want. There's so many laws now we surely don't need more.

I'll 2nd that.  What I love about our "progressive" society is how those in power think that they should assess all our risks and make laws to limit those of us who don't share their ideology.  Not that I want to drive my truck on 7 inches of ice..but if there is 16 inches, I sure don't want a law prohibiting such behavior.

As the original poster I appreciate some follow up postings showing me the error of my ways. In fact we should encourage this kind of behavior as it will help deplete the that specific gene pool and by their own choosing. What a great country we live in
