has anyone been fishing up at Squantz pond?  I haven't seen any reports for ice or how fishing was there.

on tuesday nite i went out around the beach towards the cove.  had 5 inches of ice.  did not venture much north of there as i heard there was open water earlier and it was dark out.  was fishing in up to 23ft of water.  water levels way down.  do they do that every winter?

i stopped by to fish Squantz Monday 2/11 at 3pm the causeway area looked punky; sloppy after all the rain.  The dark spots off the pier looked shiny as if they were open.  There were 5-6" of ice pre-blizzard and rain.   Being solo,  I bailed and went home.

Fished the west side shoreline today. I was on 7" of ice, sloppy on top as the day warmed up. Walked out from the boat launch.i

Fished from 2:30 - 9:30 starting out in sun glasses and ending in a white out. I had two flags with the evening one a bait stealing run but jigged up 40 blue gills to pass the time. I fished off the beach and was alone half the time.
