Lacrosse-Appleton

Heading up to Lacrosse friday after the kids get out of school to visit some family and plan on fishing saturday with a good buddy from Appleton. He's got his spots but we're wanting to try and meet somewhere in the middle on a lake and spend the day trying to find some nice panfish. We'll be driving out in my truck ice permitting or course otherwise we're hoofing it.  Any insight or ideas for lakes to try would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I was out at Stoddard last week,Friday and caught 1 ,I have talked with some of the guys that fished on Lake Onalaska and they did not do real good either. BUT do not take my word for it. Even though we didn't catch many fish,a week ago is no reason not to.I still icefish Lake Onalaska from week to week, and you never know how the fishing will be.I still go every weekend.  Jerry

You could run north of Appleton towards Sturgeon Bay (about 1.5 hours from Appleton). The whtiefish bite has been pretty good.
