Merritt Ice Report
« on: Jan 30, 2013, 09:38 AM »
Despite some warm temps last weekend the ice on Merritt appears to be holding up ok.  There was about one inch of chunky ice on top with the next 10-11 inches solid in the holes I drilled Sunday in the back of Boardman creek. Temps this morning were about 9-10 degrees and supposed to stay pretty chilly before the next warm spell comes this weekend.  We got only about an inch or less of snow with the last front so that will have little impact.  While you should always use caution especially around the edges, Merritt should have good ice through the weekend.

Some fishermen reported good action on panfish, some said just fair action, and others said pretty slow.  Like most fishing I guess you had to be in the right place at the right time.
