Also interested in hearing if anyone has fished here. Thinking about heading up there and seeing how it is pretty soon. Never fished this lake so I have no idea what to expect from it. If you've fished it lately let us know how it is.

I fished there with my Uncle Last year and we limited out on walleye.
About 12-16 inchers are in there. Been there once.

In looking at the map the deepest part of the lake is 6' on a normal year. So I'm guessing it's less than that now. I'm going over there and start drilling in that part of the lake, sometime in the next week. I've never fished the lake through the ice, is there anything I should know about like springs, open water, thin ice.
Thanks, guys

I went to swan yesterday, fished from 2:20 till 6:30. No action at all. Tried about everything in the tackle box. Had a minnow on a dead stick the whole time, moving it to different levels from time to time. Tried rattle and glow, big and small, minnows, & waxies. I didn't move around much because of the wind. Fish the deepest part of the lake. I would mark a fish once and a while but no takers. Couldn't even get them to chase. Very disappointed. I know the stock walleye, and the netting reports looked good. Maybe I just don't know how to fish that lake. I would love to have a good walleye lake that close to home.
Ice was 12". No sign of anyone ever going on the lake. that did tell me something, but I had to give it a shot.

That's not a good report. I was planning on going there this weekend. Might still go just to try it out. Where did you enter the lake at?

Well that wasnt too encouraging.  We were planning on heading to Swan on Saturday morning.  I think we may still try it for a bit, if nothing is biting we will probably head to marindahl.

I went on at the boat ramp. Looked to me like I was the first to go on this lake this year. I'm not trying to discourage anyone, just giving it to u strait. I would love it if u guys could get out there and get on some fish. I fished strait west of the bigger island in 5.5' of water. Not the small island right off the boat ramp, the one on the east side. Like I said earlier it was two windy to move around, maybe that's what it will take to find them. They didn't come to me.
Good luck guys!

We are definately going to give it another shot.  We will probably drill a ton of holes and move around as much as we can plus use some tip-ups.  Hopefully we can find something.  Ill report either way.  Good luck everyone this weekend
