Heading out tomorrow!
« on: Jan 23, 2013, 05:07 PM »
My dad and I are heading out tomorrow morning (Nice to have the day off together) I live in Georgia and were both willing to travel within an 45min drive.. Any reports out there on where some fish have been active? I'm torn between heading to the Gut <-- Never fished it or head to Swanton by the bridge <-- Friend and I hit  40 white perch off the walking path in the summer.. Any help would be good and no i'm not looking for your secret spots. We both are very familar with the lake we both duck hunt and fish the lake. Thanks

Two of us fished Keelers Monday using 28 tip ups and only caught 3 pickerel. Maybe wrong spot, it's a big bay.  I liked the fact that it had good ice.  Shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Abenaki has progressively gotten better over the past few weeks in terms of variety, size and quantity of fish.  Far from what I see as "normal" but certainly getting better.

Good luck !
The closest flag up may be the one that is behind you !
