Albany County Fishing
« on: Jan 24, 2013, 11:17 PM »
I've been to Crystal, Granite, Hattie, and N. Crow with success at all of the places. Not much for size. I was wondering if there was any other lakes in the area that are good fishing.

Sounds like a dumb question to me...the farther north you go (ie glendo, boysen) the crappier the fishin. Stay where you are and enjoy your rod gettin its bend on! LOL In all honesty, alcova and pathy been fishing good, and keyhole. Along way from chey-town though.

Or turn south and try northern Colorado. Get on the colorado threads. Lots of Pike, walleye, perch, crappie, Trout. Not that far down. Wellington and Fortcollins.
No one left behind.

Hattie actually has a lot of pigs in it....they might be a little hard to find sometimes, but they ARE in there. See the hattie derby thread. Also, have you tried any of the other plains lakes? Leazenby and Gelatt have been known to produce some hogs as well. I haven't fished twin buttes lately but I know that it doesn't get much pressure and I've heard decent fish come out of there. Meebor isn't bad either. These are all (except leazenby) right by Hattie. I'm not sure how fishing in CO is right now but every time I go it's slow. Maybe i'm just unlucky lol.
