Caution.
« on: Jan 13, 2013, 01:08 PM »
Be on the look out for someone stealing pks. Me and a friend left the ice shack out of the ice at Rock lake to get some sleep. When we went back in the morning we noticed that or pks had been taken. There was an ice augar, other lures, and other stuff and all they took was the pks.

Left the auger and took the PK's??? Now that is a testimonial if I've ever seen one!  ;D

By the way, I believe any and every thief should have their hand cut off. My the Lord have mercy on someone's soul if I ever identify my stolen gear, 110%, in someone else's possession.  >:(

You didn't have them on the end of your line down the ice hole and something took them did you?????

That would be a thief that you would want to catch!!

Haha, I wish that was the case. They did catch a couple of small perch, but weren't the ticket so we weren't using them.

I don't have any thing good to say about a thief. So I won't. That being said I do admire you for having total faith in your fellow man that when you leave what I would concider the same as quite a few hundred dollars just lying on the ice without any one looking after it. I concider you very lucky. I hope you can find your lures and the bums that stole them, and do a little hard water justice.
may their be holes in your ice and fish in your holes

The thing that irked me the most was that the guy had to be a serious angler. Other wise he wouldn't have picked through our boxes to find our PKs. Why not take any of my buckshots or swedish pimples?

I would have prefered they take the PKs over everything else in my box, Maybe it's my jigging style but I don't even use them anymore. Catch 20 on a jig or buckshot for every 1 on a PK.

Sorry to hear that man.  I live 2 miles from Rock Lake and set up my red eskimo and leave it all the time.  I usually go set up, run back to the house and get the kids, and usually have to run them home again when they get cold.  I have always worried about that but have not had it happen to me yet (knocking on wood).  I was out there twice yesterday.  Only saw a black dodge with a black hut at about 1 pm, then went back out at about 2:30/ 3 o'clock and a gold pontiac aztec with an older man and woman were pulling out down the road.  The black dodge was gone when I got into the parking lot.  I'll ask the owner of the land around the lake if he noticed any other vehicles down there when he comes to the store today.  He usually has a pretty good idea of who's down there if he's at his house.  Again, sorry for your loss to P.O.S theif.

We left there at about 11am yesterday. It would have had to be between about 9pm and 6am Saturday night.
