Ya cahn't get theya frum heeuh.
The town owns some conservation property around the pond but a bunch of landowners are also road owners.  They're pretty hard core about keeping people off the public land by posting the private road and enforcing the fact that there's no right of way.
I wonder if the pond is big enough to land a small plane on?  That would really tweak a few folks out....

Its been a few years but I used to back the small boat right down this steep hill and park right there.  Is this access not available any more?

Yeah, that's the spot Jr.  From talking to the guy that kicked me out, a bunch of slobs & kids partying ruined it for the rest of us.  The guy also seemed to mention something that makes me think that a lot of is politically rooted as well.  The town doesn't want to pony up the funds to maintain the dead-end road... so the people that own property (and pay to maintain the road) around the pond have decided to take their ball and go home leaving only those select few with access.

A friend of mine gets on it for ice fishing (he plows for some of the landowners), catches lots of foot long pickerel and bass. Nothing big, there are better places around without the hassle of finding access.
