looks like we will have a great group of diehards ready to fill their pails with perch on Monday.....what would be nice is to see if we could get the entire group out at the second pressure ridge about 3kms plus.....drill a grid of holes and just have a merry old time yanking perch galore for the freezer...anyone game to drill some holes for latecomers like Thriller and myself....just a little business early morning to get out of the way...then its on to FISH ON!!!!.....Grump

Grump - I'll have my auger with extension, so drilling isn't a problem...it's the 3 km that has me concerned

I'll need to stop a few times for a break doing that on foot. I don't think Suzanne and the kids would be really keen on that either. The other report of many tullibee / burbot closer in may be where I wind up since I am so out of shape

BTW Grump, I'll have to double-check on options, but that one Silver Birch unit looks like it might be the ticket. Then again, I might wind up ordering to try to get a bit more unique colour like the green.

Grump I only have a 6" hand auger, I dont know if i will get trough the ice that far away from shore, but I'll give it a try, any one else with a power auger

If I can make monday I'm planning on having a 10" jiffy there.
Thriller if you have an FRS radio there maybe we could agree on a channel and we could come out and give you a hand. Just wouldn't be right for us to all be there and some of stay behind because of a transportation problem.

I'll be there with my Jiffy 3hp 10 incher with extension.....to help anyone that needs some holes

I'm hoping that the surface snow isn't too soft out there as I would like to bring my ATV to help pull my broken sleigh (broken ski). Right now, it's like pulling a trailer with a flat tire

I tried finding a simple plastic sleigh today, but all the stores I went to, were either out of stock or already had them put away..........who

needs a lawnmower yet ?

What time is everyone planning to be there and where exactly will the group start?

BI....i can't speak for the rest of the group, but Thriller, Mountainmama and I should be there hopefully no later than 10ish or so.....straight northwest from the spillway....out past the piles of tulibee from the commercial ventures.....i will pm my phone numbers if you need them....Grump

I'll be wearing the same snowmobile suit as in all my pics.......brown sleigh with green lawnboy handle or my grandson's red plastic sleigh.......and hopefully the green Honda ATV.

I have a pair of FRS radios...batteries don't hold a charge worth spit any more...how about we try channel 1 for ease of use? 3 km over a flat expanse will hopefully work.

On the auger front, I also have a 10" Jiffy with extension...if we turn out seeing someone along the way struggling with a hand auger, I don't have a problem lending a hand.

I probably will be there around 8Am. Thriller/Blue Igloo I might have to take you up on the offer of drilling holes, I only have a 6" hand auger and it's hard to pull the big fish trough. Hope to see you guy's.

hmmmmm workin or fishin?, workin or fishin? hmmmmmm I think ill take fishin. I might be there guys im not sure how to get there but if I come I will find it, does anyone know for sure if you can get around with the quad I pulled the recoil out of my skidoo yesterday
