Ice Troller
« on: Jan 13, 2013, 02:46 PM »
Finally got to use my Christmas gift, a Showdown ice troller. Got the performance pack to use it stationary. Only fished an hour or so at a small cove on the Nashua River. Caught around 2 doz. perch, a couple of small bass and a real chunky rock bass. Cool to see the fish come up to hit. I'm gonna catch more fish with this!
Rock bass

Plenty of good ice there, 6-7 in!
Suit up and show up!

Great little gadget to bring out. i got mine last year and love jgging with it. before i got the navionics app i would use it to check the depth through the ice. i think i'm going to pick the performance pack up next year, everywhere i see they are on back order.

Yea Eastciderida, I was fishing 6 to 11 fow so there was depth to actually use the zoom and mark fish. I had used it once previously but just hand held to check depth.
Suit up and show up!

i have the full size showdown, love it. makes jigging worth the effort.  one thing, the fish aren't coming up off the bottom eventhough they appear to be. the angle of the transducer cone pics them up to the side.
how long does the bateeries last
