There's trout in there?   Thought that was only warm water ...

It definitely gets fished a lot. But it's close to home and still good fishing in the back corner

If your lucky enough to catch one there.....play the lottery that day as well.  They do stock the river north of the lake, and they trickle down into the lake then they flow out at the southern part.  there rainbow there....infact the yearly derby first place is largest trout.

I pull out nice browns out of the niccitticcit river coming out of it. Had some trout nuggets on the bottom and snagged a nice rainbow out of the lake somehow. Few and far between these days

i remember doing the derby there and not one trout caught...i think the trout was the grand prize...
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways

I fish the Nissitissit all the time...I've only fished  Potanipo once, caught a pickerel and met the local F&G guy, he actually told me I was fishing the wrong area and that I should have been up in the upper corner. I looked over that way and saw a bob house condo with a porch made of pallets and a pick up truck parked next to it and a guy with a chain saw cutting ice..

Ive done the derby 3 times with my son, if you want a LOT of flags and your kids to have a great time go there...I went through 5 dozen bait before noon time with he and I fishing in it the last time we did.

Never caught a trout, got some bass, bullheads, perch, pickeral, and crappie.

The back corner of potanipo is the best fishing on the lake in my opinion
