i couldn't eat fish because i spontaneously developed a food allergy to fish at a younger age...i continued to have fish once or twice a year since then to make sure i was still allergic, and i would endure the painfull ensuing effects...i had some walleye the other day, and there was no effect - and i have been fine since.  Its totally a weird and unsuspected event.

Did not realize you had an allergy to fish.  Had to be tough knowing that you could not eat what everyone else was bragging about and offering up a gazillion recipes.  Allergies are the weirdest things.  I got bit up pretty bad by black flies one year and developed all kinds of allergic reactions to dust, pollen, grasses, birch trees, etc.  Ended up doing the allergy shot routine and seem to be fine now.  Maybe you just wore it out.  At any rate, good luck to you and keep us entertained with your postings.
