great first day on the ice

Made it out today on a lake in the daks. 6 inches of good ice and a couple of inches of crust and slush. Caught 8 perch 1 northern 3 pickerel and 1 largemouth. Cold as a witches youknow what but the shanty was warm and smelled like venison all day. Got to use my new tipups I made and they worked great. Can't wait for champlain and the king to freeze.

awesome man, il be going out for my first time tomorrow and hopefully have some success, will be sweet to just finally get out again

Awesome! Hoping to get out this weekend. Have a few ponds that friends own so hoping that ice is thick enough!

I had a great first day too 4 or 5 crappies a nice perch and 30 or 40 gills and 2 largies all on the new black Betty straight line all on a single impulse plastic could not believe how long it lasted and its still good for some fish tomorrow
