Clam Trap Trapper Ideas
« on: Jan 05, 2013, 05:05 PM »
I just picked one of these bad boys up.
I use the Clam arctic Warriors as my Tip Ups, so i have 6 rod in my sled every time out.
Im trying to come up with a space efficient way of storing these rods.

Any ideas are much appreciated.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

I own a Clam Pro TC and also fish Warriors. I carry 6 Warriors in a 16" Plano tool box and 6-7 rods (30"-36") in a Plano gun case. The Warrior box fits on the floor with my other gear and the rod case fits perfectly behind the seat resting on the folded shanty poles. That allows me to still put other equipment under the rod case and make the case easy to get at once I remove the travel cover.

I found that two milk crates side by side fit PERFECTLY in the tub. I bolted them together and am making a padded seat that will connect to the length
of the crates with hinges so i can store stuff in the crates.

Im thinking of attaching PVC to the front of the crates to serve as rod holders.
