Sandy Bay/Slims Cabins area
« on: Dec 19, 2012, 11:14 PM »
My family is spending Christmas in Sandy Bay where my wife is working. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any decent ice fishing in this area.

I would call Jim and Véronique at Slim's and ask if they have any suggestions on places to hit up.  I have some around there that I have fished with success in the summer months, but you would need a sled to get to them in winter unless you are up for a long...long walk.

I have already talked to Sandi Woods, Jim's daughter. I'm thinking we will fish in the bay at Slim's unless someone knows a better spot.

We have caught lots of yellow pickerel right off the docks there in the summer.  Let me know how you make out through the ice.
Have a great trip
