Is the boat launch by fish creek the only access and do they allow four wheelers on the lake.

You can also access from South Shore Marina and ATVs are allowed on the Lake - just make sure you are registered and insured

I don't think you can have a wheeler in the state boat launch by the new bridge.

My understanding is that you are not allowed to "launch" ATVs from state boat launch.  This is very confusing since you can use an ATV on lake if you get on from other places noted in earlier posts.  Just make sure you have registration, insurance, etc.   I don't understand the logic in this since the state boat launch has plenty of parking and would help alleviate the parking mess along Fitch Road.  This seems to be a State Parks and Rec issue.  DEC does not have this restriction on other lakes where they have boat launch access available for ice fishermen.

THe DEC boat launch is park of the Saratoga National park which does NOT allow ATV's.
But, you may put an ATV on the lake next to the launch at Lee's Campground or South Shore Marina or Fitch Rd. Again, make sure that you have all your paperwork and ALWAYS wear a helmet while ATV is in use, even to move it 10 feet. They (cops) will get ya if not.

Very true. Yuo'll get a big fine if caught with a sled or atv on the ramp or in the immediate area. A fellow I know only parked in the lot a few years ago and was ticketed.
