Perch full with full stomachs

Hello and I hope everyone is having a good winter season !!!! First I will say that where I fish ( miss. r. ) it's not that common to catch a lot of perch at any one time in one day. But  the other day the moon and the stars must have been in the right place because I caught 11 that ran from 11inches to 13 inches. My best that I have ever had in one day. But when I went to clean them they were full of what looked to me as MAY FLY NYMPH (brown) ? Has any one used them for bait and how would you get them I have scooped them in the summer time when scooping for crawfish for set line bait.  Are they worth chasing down right now for gills and other panfish ? Just wondering if this was worth looking into. Have a great day.  STEVE

Tracking th down this time of year good luck.  Finding a plastic that mimics what they're eating is the best bet.

Oooh, wigglers, my absolute favorite live bait for perch. Generally available in most midwestern bait shops. I'm not sure where you fellows are at, though.
