Bait storage/care
« on: Dec 14, 2012, 03:00 PM »
Received my order from Jada today (btw, excellent price)
instructions on Waxies were to keep at room temp for 3 weeks, then refrigerate (no temp given)
instructions on spikes were to refrigerate at 36-38 degrees in ziploc bag.

Is that how you store your waxies/spikes?

I never refrigerate waxies. They get all mooshy and flat... yuk. I keep mine in a dark basement away from spiders and they do just fine. I keep mine in a rectangle tub with a lid instead of the blue ones. Reasoning is they only sit in about 3/4" of bedding instead of 3". A lot easier on them and a lot easier for me to pick out any dead/dying ones.
