Howza Metro-area lakes with the dump of snow??!

Did all the snow in the metro fudge the ice-making on metro-area lakes?? Any ice formed yet? Plan on being up in a few weeks.....appreciate any input...

Well I'll be danged. No one lives in the metro area of Minnesota. Should have the fishing all to myself then. Have to call my Wisconsin buddies.

Some of the really small ones were iced over, but the bigger ones just had skim as of Saturday afternoon. So I'd say we are making ice nicely on the ones that were still liquid when the snow hit, but have a sloppy slushy mess on the little ones.

Haven't been out but would probably agree with skipper. -5 degrees tonight as of right now, should really help though.

I'm sure Forest Lake is a mess with the 17 inches we had dumped on it.  Now that it is 5 degrees, we pry have one cruddy looking lake.

Too scared to go out until atleast the 22nd. we didn't have much around here and with this snow its gonna be a while.
