Frustration with weather? Just launch the boat

Due to the wierd weather the last 7 days we do not currently have any safe ice. Fortunately I have a boat and launched it yesturday. Fished by myself from 10:30 AM-3:20 PM. High temp was 51 degrees, dead calm conditions, and I had the whole lake to myself.

The morning started out very slow-In fact, I was nearly ready to throw in the towel. :%$#!: :%$#!: :%$#!:
 I moved locations a number of times using live bait and crawlers. Then at nearly 2 PM I had my first bite, a double header in fact. 2nd fish hit the dead stick live bait while removing my jig from 1st fish. :thumbsup: regained a little confidence in my fishing ability.

After a struggle to catch another fish I moved again. That move produced my personal best SMB at 4 lbs. 3 oz. What a PIG!!!!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

For setting my camera timer, they came out pretty good.

Can't wait for ice!!!!  Going to launch again Sat./Sun. after Thanksgiving.   All fish were released to fight another day.

thems nice smallies DH we caught some nice ones this spring when we were up got nice pics and turned em loose hope to catch some thru the ice  :icefish:
