I use them mainly for perch. They're also good for crappie. They pick up a non target surprise at times.

They are mainly used for Crappie, Perch, Walleyes, but can be used for Trout and other species.   We originally used them for Crappies about 15 years ago but have caught Perch, Walleyes, Norther, Bass, just about anything that will eat a minnow.

Since they have become popular several companies have started making them commercially, one from Merrill, WI copied our design exactly and sells them at Fleet Farms.  As far as I know we were the first ones that made the design that we use.  I posted that design on here years ago and it has been adapted by a lot of people that have used different materials to make and modify them.

I target Perch and Crappie with them but I do catch quite a few Largemouth and Northern.
