can only comment on one man frabill commando shelter.lots of room .light to pull ,but can get heavy with all your gear/auger etc.great seat .heats up well.with bigger shelters more  muscle power required to pull[unless you have a sled to pull it]had mine several years .no problems

I have been fishing from a Kenai last year and it did very well for me...heated nicely has a tray built in the sled under the seat for easy access to whatever you put there. Bang for the buck is 225-250$

Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't think I will be getting a  Mitchell pro. Kinda pricy for my first trap. the kenei. Sounds good. Not sure if I need adjustable poles either so this could be the right choice.

Any news on the Eskimo wide1 ?

the nice thing about the kenai is that the poles are not adjustable its always at its max length....I like on those not cold days but there is a little wind be able to flip it half way up as a wind break. If you get a chance when places start to put out there ice gear go ahead and look at one you might really like it! I know I do

The diff in the scout and the kenai is where you sit according to the flip...in the kenai you sit directly in the middle of the flip and it goes out infront of you...the scout tc you sit in the sled sideways and you have room next to you in the sled....your fishing area is next to you and out in front of you.
