Calling All Fly Tiers, Jig and Lure Makers.... Wounded Warrior Program

i no longer tie flies or streamers BUT, i would be happy to donate bucktails that have been dried in borax and or squirrel tails that have been salted or, chunks of taxidermy hides, bear, moose, elk, etc to the cause.

i do make spinners from trout size to 2 ounce for pike or musky that i would be happy to donate.

Was out on Craigslist looking for Fly Fishing gear and saw some gents offering flies for sale.  Pinged both and asked about their interest to donate to Wounded Warriors.  Thus far, one has responded with interest. Additionally, he's been taking fly tying classes down at Fort Carson.  Hope to connect with the head of the program there...

Reached out to Tom @ WQW (warriors & quiet waters) about their present and annual needs for our vets. Seeking his input on my drafting a letter for local fly shops to consider becoming sponsors for his program and the local programs stemming from Fort Carson.   There were a number of shops in the Bozeman area that send their guides along to work each of the six annual events.  One could only imagine those same shops outfit them as well with the needed gear.

So many opportunities in this life, so little time....  Imagine with me for a moment or over the course of week, what you too could accomplish for some who gave a limb and/or a large part of their lifelong peace of mind overseas in a theatre of war.

My thanks extended to all those that have sent in or are in the process of doing so.  I've found another outlet and this one is developing more slowly.  It is a local group that meets at the Army base here in the Springs (Fort Carson) - I don't have much more info that that right now as I'm going through 2x people.
